August 23, 2025
10:00 am — 11:00 am

Location:

Downers Grove Public Library
1050 Curtiss St, Downers Grove

Explore the places and meet the people that made the history of the Township.

Founded in 1839, by 1873, DuPage County was divided into nine Townships. Downers Grove Township was the largest with boundaries from County Line Road to Woodward Ave. and 39th Street to the Illinois & Michigan Canal. An area that started with four major settlements, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills and Fullersburg, now includes nine Villages. Each one of these Villages has a story of its own.
