You are cordially invited to the Downers Grove Historical Society’s 6th Annual History on Tap Trivia Pub Crawl Fundraiser. Invite your friends and have fun as you stroll through Downtown, answer all new Downers Grove historical trivia questions, and enjoy a 12 oz. beer, 4 oz. glass of wine, soft drink, or an appetizer, at all five crawl locations. Plus, you’ll get a bonus ticket you can use at any location. Top off the evening at Gatto’s Restaurant & Bar for our legendary after-party. Turn in your completed trivia card for six chances to win gift cards from one of our participating venues. All this is included in the ticket price.
Net proceeds support the mission and programs of the Downers Grove Historical Society.
Event Details:
- Date: Thursday, November 13
- Time: 5-10 pm
- Price: $40 Members; $50 Non-members
Click here to become a member and receive discounted pricing and early notice on future Historical Society events. (Memberships good until 2027.) - Pub Crawl: 5-9 pm at Ballydoyle, Cadence Kitchen, Cellar Door, Orange & Brew, and Wasabi.
- After-Party & Raffle Drawings: 9-10 pm: Gatto’s Restaurant & Bar. Light food will be served at no additional cost, plus a cash bar will be available. There will be six gift card prizes awarded at the After-Party. (Winners must be present when your name is called.)
- Check in: Select your desired check in location at time of purchase. Pick up your drink/food tickets at the venue you selected. Once you have checked in, you may visit the venues in any order you prefer.
- Payment: We use Yapsody for ticket sales. During the checkout process, after you click on the blue “Pay with PayPal” button, you will be given the option of paying via Debit/Credit Card or PayPal. (You do not need to be a PayPal member.)
“Day of” Instructions:
The event starts at 5:00pm. You may check in anytime between 4:45-6:30pm*
Agenda for the evening:
4:45-6:30 pm
Check-in at the location on your Yapsody ticket. You can find your ticket by searching your email inbox for “Yapsody <donotreply@yapsody.com>” Your ticket(s) is an attachment to that email. You can either print out that attachment with its QR code, or have the attachment open on your phone when you check in.
An event volunteer in a navy blue t-shirt will give you your trivia card and a set of six, color coded drink/appetizer venue tickets. You can use one ticket at each location, and the gold bonus ticket can be used at any location of your choice.
5:00-9:00 pm
You can start your pub crawl at any of the five locations and proceed in any order you prefer. Search for trivia answers at each venue and answer each question on your card.
9:00-10:00 pm
After-Party at Gatto’s: Your completed trivia card will serve as your ticket to enter. Turn in your completed card and enjoy some light food. Beverages will be available for purchase. There will be six gift card prizes awarded at the After-Party. (Winners must be present when your name is called.)
