Avery Coonley School Head of School, Dr. Kirsty Montgomery, Ph.D will give a presentation on the history and architecture of this wonderful historic private school in Downers Grove. Following the presentation, small group guided tours will be available.

About Dr. Montgomery
Dr. Kirsty Montgomery is a British-born educator and administrator with a BA from Northwestern and two MAs and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. Dr. Montgomery has taught history to 3-12 grades. She served on the faculty of the Illinois Math and Science Academy and Omniscope Academy as well as teaching at Oakton Community College, Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development, and the University of Chicago. She has presented at academic conferences across the globe and has published several articles, book entries, and publications. Dr. Montgomery was most recently Head of School at Lakeview Academy in Georgia and prior to that, she led Northwestern’s Osher Institute.

…there will be a waitlist at the door. If you would like to tour the school, you can come a few minutes early and get on the waitlist. Unclaimed tour tickets will be given in the order on the waitlist. You must attend the event to get on the waitlist.
