Known as ‘Bud’ around town, he loved motorcycles and traveled for fun all over the area with his motorcycle enthusiast friends. He grew up in Marengo, Michigan, graduating in the class of 1940 from Marshall High School. He played football throughout high school and was on the 1939 football team. Justin moved to Downers Grove as a young man to work for the Western Electric Company. He was killed in Germany during WWII. He was the grandson of Allen Wheeler, an early landowner in Downers Grove and a Civil War veteran.
