At 4901 Montgomery Avenue stands a distinctive home: the Naramore House. Built in 1927, this Spanish Revival residence remains a striking example of early 20th-century architectural style and craftsmanship. Built in 1928, the home still turns heads with its stucco walls, clay tile roof and arched windows and doorways. The interior also features arched windows and doorways, complemented by wrought iron accents and richly beamed ceilings. Unlike many older homes that have undergone significant changes, the Naramore House has retained much of its original character. Its gable-front form paired with Spanish Revival details make it both architecturally unique and historically significant in the village.
The Naramore House was approved as a Downers Grove Historical Society and Downers Grove Museum Historic Home in 2025.
