On both February 17 and March 9, over 100 people were able to enjoy the DGHS’s latest event, the presentation of Jim Toth’s Node Films’ The Mochel Family Video at Alter Brewing Company. For the February 17 event, we were fortunate to have John Mochel in attendance to provide answers to questions from the crowd. Although John was unable to attend the March 9 showing, John’s daughter, Leslie, was there to give us an idea of what it was like to grow up in the Mochel family home and work and enjoy the family hardware store throughout the 50s and 60s. Thank you Jim Toth, the Mochel family, and to all who came to enjoy pizza, fellowship with fellow DG history fans, and a viewing of the video.
