Dora Meadal was born in Alsace as was her husband, Charles Meadal. Dora was the second wife for Charles. His first wife died after the move to the Downers Grove area. After Charles died in 1888, Dora moved to Chicago. When she passed away in 1900, Dora was returned to Downers Grove to be buried with her husband.
