Henry Lester Hunt was another of the young men from Downers Grove who volunteered to serve in the Civil War. He was in 13th Illinois Infantry. Military records show he enlisted on June 25, 1861 and was listed as disabled upon his discharge on February 20, 1862. He died a month later on March 17th, possibly from his injuries in the war.
