2025: Lisa Rasin

The Downers Grove Historical Society awarded Lisa Rasin the 2025 Montrew Dunham Award on October 4, 2025.  This award was created in 2019 to honor those whose significant service and contributions to the Village of Downers Grove have earned them a place in its history, following in the footsteps of noted teacher, author, historian, and community volunteer, Montrew Dunham.

Lisa Rasin received the award for her many years in community service.  Her advocacy for those less fortunate has taken many forms, encompassing active volunteer and leadership positions in the Kiwanis Club, Chamber630, SEASPAR, the Indian Boundary YMCA, Downers Grove Rotary Club, Downers Grove Fish Pantry, and the Downers Grove Township Senior Advisory Board.

Lisa’s fundraising skills are legendary and include organizing a “Million Dollar Quartet” concert at the Tivoli in support of SEASPAR, and chairing the annual Rotary GroveFest, which raises tens of thousands that are returned to worthy causes in Downers Grove.
